Hi people. This is another recipe blog. This time we are going with the சௌ சௌ sabzi. I am happy to have contributors to this section of the blog and it’s great to see people try new recipes and post them online so that the fellow users may also get a hand of it. This recipe is made for 4 people and please do plan it accordingly.
Only after reading about chow chow online, I got to know its benefits. It has Vitamin C, helps build resistance against diseases, and even helps in reducing blood pressure.

INGREDIENTS:
Chayote – 2 nos.
Big Onion – 2 nos.
Tomato – 3 nos.
Green Chilli – as per your requirement
Ginger – 1 piece
Some Curry leaves & Coriander
Salt – To Taste
Red Chilli Powder – 1 to 2 spoons
Cumin Powder – 1 to 2 spoons
Ghee – 2 spoons
METHOD:

- Steam cook finely chopped chayotes with a pinch of Salt and turmeric powder.
- In a pan add oil (as required) and saute – ginger, curry leaves, chopped onions & chopped tomatoes. Saute them well till the oil gets released and set them aside to cool. Once it’s cooled, grind them along with the fresh coriander and turn it into a fine paste.
- Now the veggies are ready. Add this mixture to the steamed chayotes and add water to get your desired consistency. Heat this and after some time add salt, chilly powder and cumin powder. Cook well till you see bubbles.
- Turn off the stove and top it with coriander and ghee.
- Now the Sabzi is ready to serve your tummy.
